Subha Barry
Subha V. Barry – Chief Executive Officer

Subha V. Barry is CEO of Seramount, the most comprehensive end-to-end provider of diversity, equity & inclusion services in the United States. During her seven-year leadership, Seramount dramatically improved margins, expanded its portfolio of offerings by building a unique Consulting and Learning business and refined its recurring membership (Diversity Best Practices) platform. She also built an exceptional team to amplify subject matter and functional expertise and her collective efforts accelerated the growth of Seramount’s Fortune 500 client roster.

Subha was SVP and Chief Diversity Officer at Freddie Mac, where she served on the firm’s management committee and led their Foundation. During her 20+ years at Merrill Lynch, Subha was a Managing Director and the company’s first Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion, driving strategy, infrastructure and execution with a lens on both global and local community. She also created a highly successful Multicultural Business Development Group to focus their Wealth Management business on diverse and multicultural communities bringing in over $8 billion in new assets and $50+ million in annual revenues in three years. She began her career at the firm as a Financial Advisor where she was a top 100 Advisor among 16,000 in the firm.

A former adjunct professor at Columbia University’s SIPA, where she taught Gender Policy, Subha now serves on a number of non-profit boards aligned with her passions – education, cancer research and the advancement of women and girls. She is also on the advisory boards of Snowden Lane Partners, an
independent wealth advisory firm and Whiterabbitai, an artificial intelligence MedTech company.

Subha has been recognized and honored for her DE&I thought leadership, mentorship of women and diverse talent and championship of individuals on the autism spectrum. She has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, USA Today, Forbes, Fortune, CNN, NBC’s Know Your Value and innumerable panels and keynotes. She speaks passionately about diverse workforces and inclusive cultures as key to organizational success. Subha is particularly proud of mentoring hundreds of diversity professionals over the past twenty years.

A native of India, Subha holds a BA in Math, Economics and Accounting from Bombay University and an MBA and MS in Accounting from Rice University. She has two grown children and lives in Naples, Florida and New Hope, PA with her husband.

Deborah Munster
Deborah Munster - Executive Vice President

Deborah is the Executive Vice President of Seramount, responsible for People and Operations. She most recently led Diversity Best Practices, a division of Seramount, to become a trusted global member services organization for diversity and inclusion focused practitioners and employers to obtain deep DEI subject matter expertise, best practices and innovative solutions for culture change. Under her leadership, Diversity Best Practices grew from 120 to over 280 member organizations through consultation, strategies and resources on how to implement, grow, measure and create first-in-class diversity programs.

Prior to joining Seramount, she served as Vice President of Talent and Inclusion for the ADT Corporation, with responsibility for fostering a diverse and inclusive culture through employee engagement and for developing and driving a global Talent and Leadership Development strategy. Deborah also worked at Merrill Lynch as Director of Global D&I strategy where she was noted by media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones, for her diversity expertise, particularly in generational diversity, women’s programming, workplace flexibility, disability and employee networks. She managed a $3million endowment in conjunction with Columbia University to develop one of the first women’s returnship programs in the US. Prior to that, Deborah worked at JPMorganChase for 17 years as Vice President, Employee Engagement and Diversity noted for leading one of the largest cultural change programs engaging over 60,000 employees in one year. She has a BS in Finance from Lehigh University and is an avid community volunteer and soccer coach, alongside her two daughters and husband.

Amy Bourne
Amy Bourne - Senior Vice President

Amy is the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Seramount. Amy spearheaded the development and integration of the Seramount brand strategy, migrating the five WMM affiliated brands toward a single customer-centric end-to-end professional services company. She leads product marketing, content, design, digital communications, media relations, new website development and vendor management in the execution of this strategy.

Amy brings 20 years of experience helping companies operationalize B2B marketing transformations to maximize revenue potential in changing competitive landscape. She spent more than a decade in the specialty chemicals industry, as the head of NA marketing for International Flavors and Fragrances where she led the $80M NA fragrance center of excellence through portfolio and category expansion, breakthrough product innovation, segmentation optimization and global partnerships. Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics and art history from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Joan Sheridan
Joan Sheridan LaBarge - Senior Vice President

Joan Sheridan LaBarge is Senior Vice-President of Seramount. Since joining in 2005, Joan has been a leader in expanding the company’s scope on initiatives that focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, the advancement of women, and work/life integration. She leads the Sales and Relationships team and is responsible for all revenue generation across Seramount. With over 30 years of sales and marketing experience, Joan is a strategic thinker, customer focused and a consultative seller.

Joan is a core member of the executive leadership team and brings a revenue producing mindset to our work. She identifies market opportunities and helps shape new services. In her early years at Seramount, Joan took the lead in expanding the company’s multicultural women’s initiative and helped to bring its advancement of women work around the globe. Most recently, she was instrumental in developing and executing the company’s successful selling strategy during the 2020 pandemic. Prior to joining the company, Joan was a highly regarded Publisher at Gruner & Jahr, Weider Publications and Hachette Filipacchi Magazines leading national titles Shape and Men’s Fitness among others. Joan received her B.S. in Communication Arts from St. John’s University and was honored as an outstanding alumni in 2008 and a Woman of Distinction in 2012.

Laura Sherbin
Laura Sherbin - Senior Vice President

Laura is an economist who specializes in the creation of advantage through inclusion and diversity. She earned her PhD in economics from American University. Most recently, Laura was co-president at the Center for Talent Innovation (CTI) in New York City, a premier think tank and content provider that studies global workplace diversity. She taught “Women and Globalization” at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, and is a coauthor of Harvard Business Review articles “How Diversity Can Drive Innovation,” “How Gen Y and Boomers Will Reshape Your Agenda,” “Off-Ramps and On-Ramps Revisited,” as well as the Harvard Business Review research reports “The Athena Factor: Reversing the Brain Drain in Science, Engineering, and Technology”.

Laura built the rigorous data analytics machine and team that have been core to innovative approaches to measuring and tracking employee experiences. She is known as a leading expert in applying diversity and inclusion data to human behavior in organizations and using such data to quantify how workforce sentiments and satisfaction affect company bottom lines.

Katie Mooney
Katie Oertli Mooney - Vice President

Katie is an accomplished DE&I leader and thought partner with expertise in driving strategy and growth of diversity and inclusion change management, planning and programs. Prior to joining Seramount, she was responsible for overseeing the client delivery, staffing, operations and growth as Vice President of Jennifer Brown Consulting. She was accountable for the firm’s successful consulting project delivery to clients from the Fortune 1000, government agencies, startups, to nonprofits.

Prior to that, she managed the DE&I enterprise learning and development strategy at Capital One specializing in differential investment programming to support historically underrepresented talent and communities of color. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the GSBA; the largest LGBTQ and allied chamber of commerce in North America and is supporting the organization in 2020, by advancing diversity, equity and inclusion for the Board of Directors, for the benefit of GSBA staff, members, partners and the LGBTQ+ and allied community of Washington State. Katie has a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management with a concentration on Diversity and Inclusion Management from Georgetown University. She is based in Seattle, WA and splits her time between there and Los Angeles, CA.
